NCERT has introduced a significantly revised Science textbook for Class 8 from 2026-27 — Curiosity. It replaces the earlier subject-wise structure with a single integrated textbook that moves through Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Earth Science across 13 chapters, rather than teaching them in separate blocks. The approach is investigative and question-led throughout: each chapter opens with a question grounded in everyday experience, then builds the underlying concepts through activities, observation and reasoning rather than definitions-first exposition, in line with NCF-SE 2023 and NEP 2020.
